When was the last time we went for a family trip? I cant remember exactly. Its good that this time round, we are able to go for a short HK trip tgt!! Anticipated for this trip since a month ago and the day before the trip, i couldn't sleep! (feeling too excited perhaps!) Haha! The first moment we stepped out from the airpot we were like, "WOW! SHUANG!" The temp was ard 18-21 degree that day and feeling so comfortable compared to the hot and humid weather back here. Took a bus to where we stayed. It took us 45mins to get there.

This is the place we had been staying for the past 4 nights there...

Our first meal at麦文记云吞面 and so coincidentally, the Australian Dairy is just beside it and thus, we hopped over there for their famous egg milk and macaroni! :p

After the heavy lunch, we headed to Tsim Sha Tsui, Habour City. This is when when my rashes started to react and when my face starts to turn swollen. Wanted to get too many things there but the rashes just came at the very wrong time! The brother searched high and low for a bottle of mineral water just for me to consume the rashes medicine which he had brought along for the trip. It starts to feel slightly better when we head over to Victoria Habour Font when the Avenue Of Stars were. This place is just too beautiful! The weather was so good but a little too cold for me and i was shivering! HAHA! And we even ate sofee ice-cream along the street.

We had a good time there and the place was so big and by the time we get to the other end, the sky had already turned dark and we had a drink at starbucks and we waited to 8pm just to catch the Symphony of lights! HK night is so beautiful, really. Feels so good to be there, to see the beautiful light of HK. We didnt expect the wind to be this strong and therefore we didnt catch finish the lights and we went off before the lights end..

And we walked a long way for this...

Yes, it just three bowls of doesnt-look-very-appetizing-tomato-noodles but i tell you, it was really GOOD! It really worth all the walking. And this place is indeed very very ulu at the back of an old alley yet it hidden a "food treasure". Haha! Look at the thumbs up from the parent and the brother!!! After dinner, we head back to our apartment. The next morning, we wake up for congee and i doesn't like it. Too watery for my preference and i always thought HK serve really nice and thick congee?

The breakfast doesn't spoil my mood. We took MTR to Tung Chung Station and took Ngong Ping Cable Car to Po Lin Monastery to watch Asia's biggest buddha!

Brother brought the crystal-clear cable car! The bird-eye view from the cable car is the best! And i salute those who took the stairs all the way up to see the buddha!!

At the Monastery, we can shop around those small stalls and they do sell really interesting stuffs and then we walked further in and this is where we enjoy the long stairs marching to see the buddha and after that we had vegetarian lunch at the Monastery.

Their vegetarian meal is really good and its definitely worth the try! After a good meal there, we took a bus down to TAI O! This is the place we had two bowls of really nice and smooth tau huay!

And this 老婆饼 is just out from the oven! Taste really authentic!!

Dinner was at one of the famous restaurant (
Yung Kee Restaurant) located at the Central. Their roast goose was so so so good that we ordered two plates!

Next day we wake up pretty early for the porridge place which is closed the day before! The porridge is so disappointing not as good as i imagine HK porridge is. Pretty upset! BUT the lunch which we decided to just "try out" turns out to be really superb! Its like a mixed intestine and different ingredients which come with a soup base which we can choose our own! It was really really good!!!! (Im still missing it till now!)

Look how my folks enjoyed their bowl of noodle! Hehe! After this satisfied lunch, we headed back to Victoria Habour Font to head up the peak! The queue was so long and its drizzling!

Despite the rain and the hours of queuing it was definitely worth this once a lifetime experience to take the train up to the peak! Really amazed by how the train is able to move up that really steep railway track!! We went to their famous wax museum then went to the peak but the weather was so fogy, we couldn't catch the beautiful bird view of HK and we are all wet as you can see from the above pic and we were all so cold! HAHA! The queue going back was madness too and me and brother have to brave through the cold wind and drizzling rain and we brought a cup of coffee for my parent asking them to stay indoor first.

Nothing beats a whole pot of piping hot goodness steamboat on cold windy night like this. We had supper at this steamboat place which my brother found it. LOOK at the amount of beer my brother drink? It was so cheap! After the steamboat when we were about to leave the place, it was raining so heavily and the wind was so strong we couldn't even walk.. It was our first time experiencing 暴风雨 and its pretty scary! We waited for awhile and we quickly hug each other in pairs and head over to the MRT (which is just a few metres away from the shop!) One of the most unforgettable moment (for once, i thought we will be blew off by the strong wind) Haha!

On the last day there, we went to Tim Ho Wan (a place which everyone highly recommend me to go) and it was pretty good thou wasn't the best yet but it was good enough! After the lunch, all of us headed back to the apartment to sleep (we were all so wore off after all the walking and walking esp my parents..) After some nap, we decided to head out again doesn't want to waste our time and we went to eat 许留山their mango dessert is really refreshing and thou im not a mochi person but their mango mango is so good!

Not feeling satisfied enough, we get two more cup of mango ice-blended before going off.. It was a day of endless walking just so to find my EGG TART! Legs was so sore and we were all wore off that day!

But still enjoying the old rusty building of HK, street food while searching high and low for the egg tart!

and YES YES YES, we manage to get to the place (all thanks to the brother!!!)

One of the best melt-into-your mouth egg tart!! :) It was still hot. Savor every bite slowly into my mouth and the tart just came out from the oven and its still warm..

We walked for almost a few hours and we were actually at the other end of MONG KOK (which was really far away) and here's their train at Kowloon Tong. Feeling bad to have my family walk with me just to eat this. Dinner we headed back to Temple Street to have our last meal at the random zi car stall we happen to pass by. Food was alright thou.

Heading back to have a good rest and we wake up early to catch the bus and head off to the airpot.. Missing HK so much and it was one of the best trip because we went together as a family and it feels really good!! 6 days passed by too quickly and photos are the best memories! Love my family so much! Anticipating the next trip next year! <3
